This tour is designed to enjoy the highlights of Northern Tanzania at your own pace. You will be travelling with a comfortable fully equipped safari vehicle and design your days at your preference. An experienced driver will join you and assist in any case of need. The circuit includes the most famous highlights like Ngorongoro and Serengeti and takes you also a bit off the beaten track to Western Kilimanjaro. It gives you lots of options for game drives, cultural encounters and soft outdoor activities.

Day 1: ARRIVAL
You will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by your Driver/Guide and our representative. We will take you to the Rivertrees Country Inn.  This charming  Lodge is situated at the banks of picturesque Usa River on an old German coffee estate and offers stunning views towards Mt. Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro. Alternative accommodation is at Mount Meru Game Lodge with an animal sanctuary attached. . Our safari manager will come to meet you and to provide you with a safari briefing.

Overnight at Rivertrees Country Inn or Mount Meru Game Lodge. Dinner included.

NB –if you arrive into another airport than Kilimanjaro  we’ll arrange a connection flight to Arusha either on arrival or the following day (at extra cost). From Nairobi also road transfers in private or shared vehicles possible.

Day 2: Arusha National Park
Spend a second day at your nice lodge in Arusha. Time to relax and accustomize or to explore the nearer surrounding. You can visit Arusha National Park for  some first safari activities, hike at the slopes of Mt Meru, visit one of the villages nearby or explore Arusha Town.

Overnight at Rivertrees Country Inn or Mount Meru Game Lodge. Breakfast and dinner included.

Days 3-4: Sinya /Western Kilimajaro
After two relaxing days you start your tour with a drive to Sinya, a private concession of more than 75.000 acres, bordering Kenya at Amboseli National Park still untouched by tourists and only rarely visited. It offers spectacular landscapes, excellent game viewing and insights in local Maasai Culture. Located towards the Western slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro Sinya faces the snow-capped Uhuru peak. Activities include game drives and  a  walking safari escorted by Maasai warriors.

Cultural interaction with the Maasai Tribe will make a visit to Sinya a very impressing African experience (further expenses applicable), These two days you spend at Kambi ya Tembo  a comfortable tented camp consisting of 20 tents each with private en suite bathroom facilities. You can sit and watch the natural world pass by from the ample sun decks. The semi-arid land of Sinya and Elerai has an abundance of natural riches and is home to some of the largest elephants in East Africa.

2 nights overnight at Kambi ya Tembo. All meals included.

Days 5-7: Karatu

From Sinya you drive to Karat  a small friendly town located at the outer rim of Ngorongoro Crater ideally located to explore the Highlights of Northern Tanzania. You stay at a comfortable lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano, only 5 kilometers from the Ngorongoro Lolduare gate, was built to offer our clients an original experience reminiscent of the atmosphere of the old days. Ngorongoro Farm House offers comfortabele cottages with ample space inside, built on the style of an old colonial farm and rustically decorated with local materials and full of details of good taste, with the purpose of offering our clients an imaginary journey to the life of the days gone.

3 nights overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse. All meals included.

Day 8-10: Serengeti
The next destination of your tour is the famous Serengeti the world’s most wild and famous wildlife sanctuary.  Early morning game drive to see also nocturnal  predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light . Full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, antelopes, myriad bird species and, of course big cats.

3 nights overnight at Mapito Tented Camp All meals included.

Day 11: Serengeti - Arusha
After breakfast you return today to Arusha for a last overnight at Rivertrees Country Inn or Mount Meru Game Lodge. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 12: DEPARTURE
Departure transfer to Kilimanjaro  Airport for your departure.
