Day 1: Zanzibar - Ruaha

Morning flight from Zanzibar at around 09:30 to Msembe Airstip at Ruaha National Park (arrival at around 13:00 hrs). Your guide will pick you up at the Airstrip and transfer to your camp for a meeting with the camp manager to discuss your personal safari programme.

After a delicious lunch served at the banks for Ruaha River you start with your safari activities at Ruaha. After an afternoon game drive you rest at your lodge located around a rocky kopje overlooking the Great Ruaha. It provides comfortable accommodation and good food while blending into its surroundings to enable visitors to feel themselves a part of the wild. Enjoy your spectacular view to the river banks with grazing hippos and elephants right at your door step.

Overnight at Ruaha River Lodge. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2: Ruaha National Park
You spend your full day  at Ruaha National Park one of Tanzania’s best kept wildlife secrets. Previously inaccessibility has ensured being unaffected by the ravages of mankind. It is the country’ biggest elephant sanctuary and location of the Great Ruaha River flowing along its eastern border crating spectacular gorges.

The Ruaha Nationalpark is home to hippo and crocodile, waterbuck, reedbuck, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, jackals and many elephants. Best time to visit is the dry season from May to December where animals are concentrated around the shrinking water courses. Activities consist of game drives with through the park and a ranger guided walk to the dense bush.

Overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.  All meals included.

Day 3: Ruaha – Zanzibar
In the morning you proceed with your safari activities until lunch. After lunch transfer back to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar (departure around 13:45; arrival around 17:00 hrs).  Breakfast and lunchbox included.
