Tarangire Treetops

Tarangire Treetops Lodge consists of 20 stunning ‘tree-house’ style chalets, approximately 55sq metres in size, set up into the baobab and marula trees. Each room has been designed using a mixture of contemporary and natural materials and has its own ensuite bathroom with double shower and vanity, mosquito nets, hairdryer, fan and a large private verandah overlooking the plains of Tarangire. The camp is small, luxury, fully inclusive and personally hosted.

Tarangire Treetops sits within a private Conversation Area bordering Tarangire National Park, in the path of Tarangire’s elephant migration. Covering an area of 2600 sq kilometers the National Park literally teems with wildlife throughout the year with a dense population during the dry season (June – October). Tarangire is home to some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa, passing the lodge on their way to watering at the Sand River. Situated just at the border outside the park, the area has all the same species of wildlife as the Tarangire National Park, including leopard, lion, cheetah, lion and buffalo.

Tarangire is also symbolized by the baobab tree the park is also an ornithologists paradise, rich in birds of prey.

The establishment of the camp has also resulted in developments for the nearby Masai villages, including improved water facilities and a school, a certain percentage of all visitors' lodging income are donated to several village improvement schemes, as well as the locals are employed and working as guides for the walking Safaris and night game drives.

Treetops’s unique location allows access to the game in an outside the park year round.

Facilities:

  • Restaurant
  • Sundowner Bar with fine selection of wines
  • Swimming Pool
  • Gift Shop
  • Waterhole

The Camp organises cultural walking Safaris and night game drives! It is closed during April and May.
